ICBC Physiotherapy & Direct Billing
If you’ve been in a car accident and have an ICBC claim number, you may be eligible for ICBC-covered physiotherapy at PRE Therapy. No upfront payment and less paperwork for you.
We help make the process simple so you can focus on your recovery.
How ICBC Physiotherapy Coverage Works
ICBC offers pre-approved treatment after an accident. Once your claim is accepted, you can start treatment right away without needing a doctor’s referral.
ICBC will cover 100% of your basic treatment costs (an additional user fee may be applied for extended sessions) for the first 12 weeks after your accident date.
What Does Direct Billing Mean for You?
Direct billing means you don’t pay upfront for approved treatments.
Once you provide your ICBC claim number, we handle the billing directly with ICBC on your behalf. You just show up for your appointment.
If your treatment falls outside of the approved time window, you may be required to pay for that session up front and submit to your ICBC adjuster for reimbursement.

ICBC Physiotherapy FAQs
+ Do I need a doctor’s referral to start ICBC physiotherapy?
No. You don’t need a doctor’s referral to start your sessions. Once you have your ICBC claim number, you can book an appointment and begin treatment right away.
+ Do I have to pay upfront for ICBC sessions?
If your treatment is approved by ICBC, we will bill ICBC directly, so you don’t need to pay for the session upfront. You only need to pay if a service falls outside your approved ICBC coverage, and we’ll let you know ahead of time. An additional user fee may be applied to subsequent RMT sessions and must be paid at the time of your appointment.
+ How many sessions does ICBC cover?
ICBC typically covers multiple sessions during the first 12 weeks after your accident. The exact number of sessions depends on your injury, recovery needs, and treatment plan.
